Entering the Vietnam market from 2023, Smilegate Vietnam‘s mission is to provide stable development & operation of the Smilegate platform and services, expanding beyond the development center to the region and expanding into an Asian hub.

Job description

1. Product & In-Game Event Operations
- Plan, execute, and monitor in-game events (event calendar) to optimize Engagement, Retention, and Monetization.
- Collaborate with the Product team to ensure features and content are delivered on schedule.
- Conduct product testing (QA/QC), evaluate quality, and propose improvements to enhance user experience.

2. Platform Operations (Social & Community)
- Manage and coordinate content across social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).
- Develop content calendars and collaborate with Content/Creative teams to produce channel-specific content.
- Monitor user feedback, synthesize insights from social channels, and propose product improvements.
-  Collaborate with KOLs/Influencers and community partners to execute marketing campaigns.

3. Marketing
- Demonstrate strong marketing knowledge, with proven ability to strategize User Acquisition and Brand Positioning to drive product growth.
- Participate in planning cross-promotion and seasonal campaigns aligned with the product roadmap.
- Evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness from a product perspective (user quality and impact on in-game metrics).

4. Data Analysis & Operational Optimization
- Track and analyze key operational metrics: DAU, MAU, Retention Rate, ARPU, LTV, Churn Rate.
- Build periodic reports on product and event performance, providing data-driven optimization recommendations.
- Utilize data analytics tools to understand and interpret user behavior.

5. Technology Trends & Innovation
- Research and stay updated on technology trends in the gaming industry (AI-generated content, procedural generation, live-ops automation).
- Propose the application of new technologies/features to enhance product competitiveness.
- Monitor competitors and global gaming market trends.

6. User-Centric Mindset
- Prioritize user experience in all operational and product development decisions.
- Collect, synthesize, and prioritize user feedback from multiple channels (store reviews, social media, support tickets) into actionable insights.
- Propose UX/UI and gameplay flow improvements based on real user pain points.

Your skills and experience

Must-have:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the gaming industry or digital platform operations.
  • Experience managing social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Data-driven mindset: ability to interpret and act on data rather than intuition.
  • Fundamental knowledge of marketing (UA, ASO, campaign planning).
  • Proficient in English (reading/writing documentation and communicating with international partners).
  • Passion for gaming

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience operating game products or platforms with a large user base.
  • Detail-oriented, careful, and proactive with a “can-do” mindset.
  • Understanding of AI trends in gaming (AI-generated art, video, automation).
  • Design thinking mindset: ability to balance business goals and user experience
